The Drop the Debt Fast is a 36-day rolling fast, to highlight the plight of 36 countries which are among those still needing substantial debt cancellation. We are asking supporters to consider fasting for one day or more, between 12 April and 17 May, to show solidarity with the people of countries still suffering under a huge debt burden. You can find out more and sign up online at: www.jubileedebtcampaign.org.uk/fast.
While fasting, we will also be encouraging supporters to make chain links to bring or send to Birmingham when we mark 10 years since the human chain in 1998 that called on the G8 to drop the debt. These will be used in a mass action at the 'Journey to Justice' 10th anniversary event on 18 May, to demand further action on debt. Fasters will able to download a template chain from our website in the next week or two - but feel free to be creative! So, visit www.jubileedebtcampaign.org.uk/fast to find out more.

Living debt free is the phenomenon of having credit available, using it wisely, saving religiously and planning accordingly. Some financial gurus explain that living debt free means having no debt at all, but the definitions of ‘debt free’ range from not having any debts to using credit wisely and productively and controlling the debt. Fair Deal On Debt.
As a registered community interest company, we'll ensure you only get honest, impartial counselling. If your debts are not too large and you have a regular income, then Debt Management could be an option for you. This involves you paying a regular amount each month to a company who handle negotiated repayments to your creditors, usually over a longer period and with lower repayments. Regardless of what the right solution is for you to clear your debts, we're here to deliver
counselling about all your possible options - from IVA to loans, so that you can make the right
decision that best suits your individual situation.
How large are your debts?
In advising you on the appropriateness of management plans, we'll need to know how large your
debts are and whether you have a regular income. If you have serious debts, it's possible that an
IVA or bankruptcy will be more appropriate.
